KUWAIT CITY : The Civil and Commercial Section at the Court of First Instance has instructed an airline to pay KD 2,000 compensation to a citizen for the delay of his flight. According to the plaintiff, he purchased tickets for his family to spend the Eid Al-Adha holidays in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Their flight was scheduled at 11:00 pm but it was delayed until 11:00 am the following day, causing great inconvenience to the citizen and his family. Attorney Mohammad Thear Al-Otaibi, the plaintiff’s lawyer, argued the airline should bear the responsibility for the errors committed by its staff. He said his client suffered due to the delay, considering he was traveling with small children.
