AMMAN: The promotion campaign for the Jordan Festival for Arab Media 2010 gained wide attention from Kuwaiti media, a Jordanian official said here Wednesday. In a press release after returning home from Kuwait, Dr. Amjad Al-Qadi; Director General of the Jordanian Audio-Visual Body and Chief of the Festival's Commission, said a number of Kuwaiti media entities voiced keenness to take part in the festival slated for October 5-7 in Amman. "An exhibition, with 168 pavilions, will be held on the sidelines of the festival," Al-Qadi noted. The promotion campaign of the festival took the organizers to Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Syria. Of the festivals goals are to build bridges of understanding and help create an environment conducive to interaction among media cities and television and radio stations in the Arab World, as well as encouraging creative trends in Arab drama and programs through competition among the distinguished products at the Festival's official contest, Al-Qadi concluded.
