 Tue, 15 May 2012

KUWAIT CITY : Personnel from the General Immigration Department have arrested four men – two Egyptians and two Asians – for selling forged ‘FIT’ medical certificates to expatriates to help them get residence permits.
According to security sources the personnel from the General Immigration Department received a tip-off that an unidentified Egyptian man was selling medical certificates for KD 400.
Acting on this information, a trap was set to arrest the man and he was caught red-handed while selling a ‘FIT’ certificate to a police agent.
During interrogation he admitted to the charge and said out of the KD 400 he received only KD 100 and that he paid KD 300 to his compatriot.
When police arrested the compatriot, he admitted to the charge and said he paid KD 100 to two Asians for each certificate.
Police then raided the den of the Asians and seized from them the equipment used to forge the certificates including government hospital seals and referred them to the Public Prosecution.
