VAM Systems is currently looking for Systems Engineer – L2 for ourUAEoperations with the following skillsets & terms and conditions:
Minimum Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc./B. E or an equivalent degree) in Computer Science or Information Systems
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience and 2 to 5 years of experience in Managed Service operations or IT Operations for al the mentioned technologies
• Experience with Windows Administration, Patching, network diagnostic and network analysis and monitoring tools
• Experience with antivirus/malware and patch management technologies
Job Description
• The purpose of this position is to implement, maintain, and support an infrastructure for Enterprise customers. The job holder will be part of a team responsible for implementing and maintaining a Cloud platform and ensures services are provided according to the agreed contract, SLA, and quality.
• The Microsoft Engineer is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Solutions like Privileged Access Management (Thycotic), Microsoft technologies including Windows, Active Directory, Exchange, MS SQL and SharePoint, MS SQL Server and other MS related tools. This position includes working with Enterprise customers in optimizing, and monitoring requirements to gain operational efficiencies in order to drive the organization to a highly customer satisfaction.
Key Accountabilities
• Full responsibility of the Cloud Services and Infrastructure.
• Administer systems such as Windows OS Administration, Active Directory, Monitoring, MS SQL Server dB Admins, Exchange, DNS, Lync, and SharePoint, Solutions like Privileged Access Management (Thycotic)
• Diagnose system issues, predict future trends, make recommendations and implement client solutions
• Monitor system performance and be proactive in assessing and providing recommendations for improvement of assigned systems and technologies
• Patch and update assigned systems
• Manage the Antivirus solution as per the security best practices
• Maintain and enhance assigned systems for a variety of different vendor products including backup, performance management, network security, network services, etc.
• Follow the escalation matrix and update the flash report for the delayed projects in order to notify the management and other stakeholders
• Update the managers on open Problem Notifications, production issues.
• Create, maintain and update required documentation, records, logs, and reports.
• Liaison with internal departments, teams, vendors, and suppliers to determine user requirements, execute projects, and set service standards
