Mobile subscribers hit 4.77 million users on Sept. 2011

  KUWAIT: A special report was release recently showing that the number of mobile subscribers has reached 4.77 million. The report stated that just the last quarter (Q4) of last year, 81,000 new subscribers registered.
According to the author of the report, Business Monitor International, specialized in telecommunications, the number of subscribers in Kuwait will reach 192.7 percent by the year 2016.
The report goes on to say that the next five years will see rapid increase in the number of subscribers after analyzing last year's data which shows that this year's new subscribers has risen by 306 thousand.
The report also expects more increase once the country's development plans related to improving Kuwait's telecommunications are implemented.
